%0 Journal Article %T Evaluation of subskapularis and biceps tendons by MRI and share-wave ultrasound elastography %A Dilek £¿EN DOKUMACI %J - %D 2019 %X Background: To investigate the relationship between the T2A signal intensity values of subscapular and biceps tendons and the velocity values obtained by the Share-wave Elastography examination. Methods: Simultaneous Share-wave Elastography examination was performed to patients who were admitted to our MRI department for shoulder MRI request from different outpatient clinics. Share-wave Elastography examination was performed for subscapularis and biceps tendons. In T2A images, the intensity values of the subcapularis tendon and biceps tendon were measured in the axial plane through the insersio level of the subscapularis and in the axial section where the biceps tendon was observed in the bicipital groove. The MRI and Share-wave Elastography values were evaluated using the Spearman¡¯s correlation test for the correlation of both tendons. Results: There was a negative correlation between subscapularis tendon signal intensity values and Share-wave Elastography values (p = 0.048, rho = -0.447). There was no correlation between these two values in the biceps tendon. Conclusions: Share-wave Elastography examination is a diagnostic method that allows quantitative evaluation of tendon pathologies.
