%0 Journal Article %T EVALUATION OF THE ATTITUDES OF THE INDIVIDUALS ON TRADITIONAL AND ALTERNATIVE METHODS IN THE USE OF HEALTH CARE %A Dilek KOCABA£¿ %A Erdal EKE %A Muazez DEM£¿R %J - %D 2019 %X The importance of traditional and complementary medicine practices, which are formed by the combination of the information and experiences that have come from past to present, is increasing day by day. The study aims to reveal the attitudes of the residents of Isparta to traditional and complementary medicine. For this purpose, 399 participants were reached by convenience sampling method. 59,4% of the participants included traditional and complementary medicine, 45% used traditional and complementary medicine, 29,8% had disease, 12,4% had weight loss and fatigue 12,8% for other purposes. In addition, it has been determined that family and friend recommendations are effective in traditional and complementary medicine uses, in which 65,5% of traditional and complementary medicine users prefer herbal methods. Nearly all participants using traditional and complementary medicine methods reported that they benefited from such methods.
