%0 Journal Article %T A STUDY ON GUSTAV KLIMT'S WOMEN PORTRAITS %J - %D 2018 %X Gustav Klimt is one of the most important artists to observe Art Nouveau influences in his works. While reflecting the artistic influences of this movement in his style is also an influential and important member of Seccession, which has been included in the 19th century artistic liberation movements in Vienna. With a different style and unusual color understanding, he has a rightful place in the representation of the period. Byzantine icons, Greek-Miken art, Korean art and Gothic wisdom. The artist has focused especially on female images, and has become a school in this regard. It depicts women of various age groups from different socio-economic worlds and has witnessed their sometimes sad, tragic, melancholy, sometimes happy, sensual and careless worlds. Klimt and a woman who became stereotypical and identifiable when she said women created an archetype. She has also included rarely processed topics such as pregnancy, maternity and old age in her work, which she uses for a considerable amount of time to be seen as a sexual image.
