Because all living beings are in constant contact with their surroundings, they provide benefits or harm to their surroundings knowingly or unknowingly. Some of these damages cause some species to disappear completely or to live in very challenging environments. The main cause of these harms or losses that human beings have been part of is the lack of environmental awareness in the individuals in society. The most important stakeholders of these responsibilities are the parents first and then the educators. For this purpose, it is aimed to examine how sensitive the academicians, who are educators, are to their environment and what influences these sensitivities using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). SEM is a statistical method that combines multiple statistical methods such as multiple regression analysis, factor analysis and path analysis. As a result of the evaluations made, academicians are found to be more sensitive to their environment in order to leave a clean world to future generations. In addition, they think that environmental regulations to force nature-damaging enterprises to be more considerate should be issued.
