Individuals begin to gain these values first in the family; after school in the school. Teachers undertake this task in the school. For this reason, it should be ensured that the teachers have sufficient knowledge and consciousness about the democratic values while they are still teacher candidates. For this reason, this research was conducted in order to determine the effect of the use of creative drama as a method in the development of democratic attitudes of classroom teacher candidates. The study was designed in a single group pretest-posttest model from experimental research models. The research was conducted with 30 class teacher candidates. In the research, a questionnaire form was used to determine Democratic Attitude Scale and democracy metaphors developed by G£¿z¨¹tok (1995). Metaphoric perceptions have been guiding the process of preparing creative drama activities. When the developed metaphors were examined, it was seen that the metaforth was at least related to the concepts of "individual" and "necessity" when the class teacher candidates created the metaphor about the concepts of "equality" and "justice" It was concluded that there was a statistically significant difference between the democratic attitudes of the participants in the survey before the given training and the democratic attitudes after the experimental procedures. It can be interpreted that the change in democratic attitudes after the experimental process is effective. Based on the results obtained in the research, democracy education should be given by educational activities aimed at implementation based on the experiences in the institutions where they are educated by the teachers %K Demokratik de£¿er %K demokratik tutum %K yarat£¿c£¿ drama %K metafor %K £¿£¿retmen aday£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/sakaefd/issue/41883/404141
