The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of neuraltherapy in the treatment of patients with gonarthrosis. The study included 8 patients with gonarthrosis according to ACR criteria who applied to our outpatient clinic with knee pain. For assessing functionality and pain Western Ontario and MacMaster Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), to assess fatigue Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy (FACIT) were performed before and after treatment. In NT protocol; at the first visit local therapy (joint and joint circumference) and segmental approach L2 - S2 (T9 - L2 for sympathetic stimulation); at the second visit, in addition to the first vises, trigger point injection, inclusion of adjacent joints in the treatment, detection and treatment of disturbing area; in the third visit, in addition to the second visit, intraarticular injection was added. Seven (87.5%) of the patients were female and 1 (12.5%) were male. The mean age of the patients was 52.6 ¡À 7 years and the body mass index (BMI) was 34.4 ¡À 6.2. The mean WOMAC value of the patients was 38,12 ¡À 17,4; the mean value of FACIT was 24.12 ¡À 7.9 before treatment and 20 ¡À 15.8 and 10.6 ¡À 6.9, respectively at the end of treatment. When the patients were evaluated in terms of WOMAC and FACIT values before and after the treatment, a statistically significant decrease was observed with treatment( respectively, p: 0.005, p <0.001). This study shows that patients can be treated with NT effectively and safely in a short time %K Gonartroz %K n£¿ralterapi %U http://dergipark.org.tr/barnat/issue/43541/523134
