%0 Journal Article %T Evaluation of Applications for Gun License, Security (Armed or Unarmed) in Health Board Applications: A Retrospective Study %A Filiz £¿zsoy %J - %D 2018 %X Aim : The aim of this study is; to examine the diagnosis and the results of the reports of patients applied to the disabled health board who wants to become security guard and to have gun license. Method: In this study, records of the people, who applied to the disabled health board between 31.12.2017 and 01.12.2018, how many of them applied to have a gun license and to be security guard and how their reports were concluded was retrospectively screened. Results: Among 15,816 people who applied to the health board, 969 of them came to have a gun license, to be security guard, village guard and hunting dealership. Of these, 824 (85.03%) were male and 145 (14.96%) were female. 959 (98.96%) individuals were given positive results for their application purposes, while 8 (0.82%) of them received negative reports. 2 of them (0.20%) were referred to a further center for decision. Conclusion: Applications to disabled health board aiming to have a gun license, to be a security guard, to be a village guard and to obtain hunting dealership were evaluated. The examinations, performed in the disabled health board are the services that the mental health and disease assistant and specialist are frequently faced with and should be well known.
