%0 Journal Article %T FACTORS AFFECTING THE USE OF E-GOVERNMENT AND THE E-GOVERNMENT PERCEPTION OF CITIZENS %A O£¿uz DEM£¿R %J - %D 2018 %X Today, the great change in information and communication technologies not only affects the daily lives of the citizens, but also redefines the relations with the state on the basis of the information society. Increasing use of the Internet and the widespread use of information and communication technologies in particular have caused public administrations to undergo change and transformation. The e-government, which is the dominant actor of this change and transformation, has become a symbol of change towards traditional public administration. A survey of more than 100 people was conducted at the D¨¹zce center to determine what factors are effective for citizens to use electronic state, how citizens perceive e-government applications, how much citizens trust e-government applications, and how e-government affects public administration. According to research findings, "e-government perception" of participants using egovernment applications is in the positive direction whereas the perception of the participants who do not use is in the negative direction. In addition, e-government uses vary according to gender, age, education and employment status.
