One of which was done by Smith (1968, p.458): ¡° the concept of attitude, although variously defined, is most commonly employed to designate inferred dispositions, attributed to an individual, according to which his thoughts, feelings, and perhaps action tendencies are organized with respect to a psychological object.¡± Attitude is composed of three components: affective, cognitive and behavioral components (Krech, Crutchfield & Ballachey, 1962). The affective component describes individual¡¯s feelings related to an attitudinal object; while, the cognitive component consists of individuals beliefs about the object. Finally, the behavioral component reflects the action tendencies associated with the object. Although attitude is composed of three components, the interactions among these components are fairly complex (Krech, Crutchfield & Ballachey, 1962; Smith, 1968). Attitude has been the subject of several research including social sciences since it is one of the most important concepts explaining human behavior. Similarly, in the field of educational sciences, there have been several studies on the attitudes of teachers, who are the crucial part of the education system and shaping the future of individuals and societies, towards their profession. In the literature, although the studies conducted with pre-service and in-service teachers have come to the forefront, studies examining attitudes of teachers waiting for their assignment have been limited. To fill this gap defined in the literature; this study aimed to examine attitudes of teachers waiting for their assignment towards their profession %K Tutum %K £¿£¿retmenlik mesle£¿ine y£¿nelik tutum %K atama bekleyen £¿£¿retmenler %K nitel ara£¿t£¿rma %K fenomenoloji %U http://dergipark.org.tr/hej/issue/34241/372345
