%0 Journal Article %T An£¿other Aspect of Migration: Chronic Diseases %A Amine Deniz %J - %D 2018 %X Migration is defined as population movements in which people move without regard to their duration, structure and cause. Immigration rates have increased over the years due to wars, unemployment, poverty, natural disasters, terrorism, violations of human rights and employment opportunities in the world and Turkey. With migration; the social, cultural and economic structure is changed for migrants and population allowed migration and bilateral serious process of change is occurred. Investigations showed that as the number of individuals migrated increases, chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, diabetes and cancer increase. As a result, chronic diseases with high morbidity and mortality rates and risk factors related to these diseases are more frequent in migrants.
