%X One of the first economic activity in human history is agricultural activities. Agricultural activities are aimed to satisfy the urgent and compulsory physiological needs of humanity such as food and dressing. According to research made in history of economics, revolutions in agriculture were occured before the revolutions in the industry. Today's industrial countries have been an agricultural society until the middle of the 19th century. For the development of industry, the development of the agriculture is necessary. Feeding of the human population that grows continuously is possible through agricultural production. Based on Turkish Statistical Data(T¨¹£¿K); the share of employment, its share in Gross Domestic Product(GSY£¿H), the import-export balance, the raw material demand of the agro-based industry and the contribution of foreign exchange were examined
