Especially the scientific activities on the historical geography of the Middle Ages are almost non-existent. The researches of W. M. Ramsay, who has been conducting research on the historical geography of Anatolia in both ancient and medieval times for nearly fifty years, are of great importance in this field. Although almost a century has passed since W. M. Ramsay's research, his work is one of the leading works to be used in researching the historical geography of Anatolia. A significant increase is observed in the researches on the place where the Battle of Myriokephalon took place between the Byzantine and Turkey Seljuk states. W. M. Ramsay is one of the first researchers to study the historical geography of Anatolia, and is one of the first researchers to present scientific knowledge about the place of the Battle of Myriokephalon. These works, which were put forward by W. M. Ramsay, have been accepted in the science world for many years and have been accepted as the reference source. W. M. Ramsay, in his first article published in 1886, claimed that the Battle of Myriokephalon was made in D¨¹zbel. In another article which he published in 1895, he changed the previous view of the place where the war took place by claiming that the war occurred at the northeastern end of Egirdir Lake, ie between Limnai (E£¿irdir/Hoyran Lake) and Gondani (Kumdanl£¿). After this article, W. M. Ramsay has repeated the area between Limnai and Gondani from time to time in his works as a place of the Battle of Myriokephalon. Only, until this article we were working on here, it was seen that why he did give up the D¨¹zbel view, which he had previously claimed, and gave no explanatory information about the location of the war to the northeastern end of Lake E£¿irdir. W. M. Ramsay's scientific work is capable of answering many questions encountered in the discussions about the place of the Battle of Myriokephalon %K Myriokephalon Sava£¿£¿ %K Miryokefalon Sava£¿£¿ %K Tzibritze Ge£¿idi %K Tarihi Co£¿rafya %K T¨¹rkiye Sel£¿uklu Devleti %K Bizans £¿mparatorlu£¿u %U http://dergipark.org.tr/egetdid/issue/46319/568633
