Thanks to his experimental peculiarities, Necatigil not only developed various poetic approaches in different periods but also simultaneously assumed different and characteristic poetic endeavors. It is attention getting that Necatigil especially uses some marks and symbols while creating his unusual poems. In this article, three marks/symbols used frequently by him will be explained as an indicator of his poetic approach and poem writing process. These symbols are parenthesis, line of thought and square. With the symbol of parenthesis, Necatigil refers to his poems in which he adds more words and so says more. The line of thought indicates Necatigil¡¯s poetic approach that he prefers decreasing words instead of adding new ones. And the square indicates to Necatigil¡¯s poetic attitude that he extended the approach of decreasing words in his poems. Such poems of Necatigil as ¡°Sevgilerde¡±, ¡°Nil¨¹fer¡± and ¡°£¿£¿kartma¡± have been chosen as samples in this article.
