%0 Journal Article %T Transformation of Human-Nature Relation : A Historical Perspective %A Hasibe SULAK %J - %D 2018 %X One of the most important issues that today's societies face environmental problems. Environmental problems have generally come to the fore since the 1950s, but their origins are based on much older histories. In this study, firstly human and nature relation is mentioned. The Ancient Greek Philosophy ant the Enlightenment Period are important for the transformation of the Human-Nature Relationship. In this respect, the philosophical views of the philosophers such as, Platon, Aristotales, Descartes, Bacon are emphasized. The formation of ecological thinking in the next period led to the guestion of modernism. In this period, first examples of nature protection emerged in America and England. The negative conseqences of the industrialist have been influential in the formation of ecological sensitivity. Another factor that is effective in the formation of ecological thinking is scientific studies in the field of ecology. The transformation of human-nature-society relation has been shaped by theese scientific studies. In this study philosophical thoughts and scientific studies which are effective in the formation of ecological world view will be examined.
