%0 Journal Article %T Evaluations Over Omer Lutfi Barkan¡¯s ¡°The Colonizer Turkish Dervishes And Zawiyahs¡± %A Halil Baltac£¿ %J - %D 2019 %X This study contains comments over some aspects of the article titled, briefly, ¡°The Colonizer Turkish Dervishes¡± that £¿mer Lutfi Barkan wrote, utilizing archive documents and historical records, on the topic of the understanding of the social, political, and economic characteristics of the Ottoman State. In this sense, information provided with regard to the information provided with regard to the Turkmen migrations, conquests and colonization, and public works and housing made to Anatolia and the religious-Sufi classes and institutions tasked in the Ottoman establishment, and a series of affirmations and objections are framed. The purpose is to recognize the wandering dervishes, Turkish-Islamic guild (akhi), dervishes, and zawiyahs, as well as the Sufi classes to which they are connected, and to draw attention to the matters that influence the institution of the Ottoman State, which would transform into a great empire in time.
