The children¡¯s ability of using the language will be builded up with qualified children¡¯s books. With the help of qualified literary materials, children¡¯s usage of native language will be improved. Introducing children with qualified books in the early ages contributes the children to gain a strong character and to develop in a multidimentional manner. It also allows the children to catch clues to their native language and love the language. From this point of view, it can be said that the literary books aimed at children should adress the interests and needs of the children and enable them to realize themselves. Values education means to gain sensibility in parts of moral, cultural, universal and personal. Books that meet with children as well as the lessons have an important role in the values education in schools. Because books are one of the main sources for the acquisition of the values. Values can be gained to children with books. Literature and qualified literary texts are of great importance in order for the reader to be educated with universal values. Universal values can be adopted to the children with these books. While presenting these novels to the children the reality of the child should also be considered. Yalva£¿ Ural is one of the important Turkish writer of children and adult modern literature. Although there are many values that Yalva£¿ Ural mentioned and felt in his books for the children, the most important value is the value of love. Ural, who wants to feel the importance of love for children, emphasized the importance and necessity of love in his books and reflected the importance of love in the life in all of his books.The aim of this study is to examine the universal value of animal love in the children's literature of Yalva£¿ Ural, which is one of the pioneers of Turkish children's literature, in his novels of poetry, short stories, poetry-stories and fables.
