For this purpose, some basic chemical properties, solubilities and the amount of ash have been determined in terms of the suitability of wild dogwood for paper production. Carbohydrate analysis was also performed using a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) device. In the chemical analyzes made, extractive matter (4.52 ¡À 0.21%), cold water solubility (4.42 ¡À 0.25%), hot water solubility (6.40 ¡À 0.27), holocellulose (72.27 ¡À 0.27), ¦Á-cellulose ¡À 0.17), lignin (16.32 ¡À 0.09%), 1% NaOH solubility (18.30 ¡À 0.35%) and ash content (0.56 ¡À 0.05%) test were carried out. According to the results of HPLC analysis, carbohydrate contents of wild dogwood wood were determined as sucrose, glucose, galactose, arabinose and fructose sugar groups. From these; Sucrose 25.53% (30.50 mg/l), fructose 17.10% (44.16 mg/l), glucose 16.63% (22.58 mg/l), galactose 1.21% and arabinose 0.61% were determined. The aim of this study is to investigate possibilities of benefiting from wild dogwood grown in our country and gain obtained results in the literature %K Cornus australis L. %K Yabani k£¿z£¿lc£¿k %K HPLC %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ecjse/issue/35148/365274
