%0 Journal Article %T Tourism life cycle in Ku£¿adas£¿ District: Evaluation through spatial and social element %A £¿smet G¨¹ney %J - %D 2018 %X Unsustainable growth in Turkey¡¯s most important tourism centers is taking place. In these destinations, due to unplanned tourism demand, the increase in population and construction market reveals new social and environmental problems. In this research, the development tourism activities of Ku£¿adas£¿ which is one of the first opened venues of tourism in Turkey is tackled according to the model of Tourism Area Life Cycle (TALC). According to TALC model, in which stage of tourism is Kusadasi at, and how will this stage evolve in the future? Which factors have influenced Ku£¿adas£¿ in the development of tourism? In order to answer research questions, primary data obtained by observation and interview techniques used in qualitative researches are supported by secondary data which is the obtained by document examination and remote sensing techniques. In the evaluation of the obtained data sets, descriptive analysis method was used. According to the results of the research; especially Ku£¿adas£¿ in Turkey, as a product of unsustainable policies in coastal tourism has been identified as experiencing all the stages envisaged in the TALC model.
