%0 Journal Article %T A New Strong-Ground Motion Attenuation Relationship for the Middle Part of North Anatolian Fault Zone (NAFZ) %A Nilg¨¹n L¨¹tfiye SAYIL %J - %D 2019 %X In this study, a new strong-ground motion attenuation relationship has been developed for the middle part of the North Anatolian Fault Zone (NAFZ) by using peak ground acceleration (PGA) values on 208 horizontal components of the 63 earthquake records. In addition to the magnitude and epicenter distance used in the relations described so far, new parameters such as seismic moment and strain drop, which define the dynamic characteristics of the faulting zone, have been added together with the effect of local soil conditions. It was determined that the attenuation relationship is coherent with log-normal distribution considering the standard deviation of 0.35 and a correlation coefficient of 0.89. Calculated seismic moment values for earthquakes were found between values of 21.34 - 24.64 dyn.cm, and the stress drop values were computed between 19.59 and 23.58 bar in the present study. PGA values were directly related to stress drop and seismic moment in the developed attenuation relationship %K Azal£¿m ili£¿kisi %K Kuvvetli yer hareketi %K Deprem Tehlikesi %K KAFZ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/tdad/issue/46355/560557
