For this purpose, data were collected from 343 teachers who worked in 13 state schools, 6 primary schools and 7 secondary schools, in Adana city center in the 2017-2018 education year. Data were collected using the ¡°Primary School Teacher Motivation Scale¡± and ¡°Perceived Management Style Scale¡±. Analysis of the data included descriptive statistics as well as Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis, and correlation analyses. Results showed that teachers¡¯ perceptions about school directors¡¯ management styles and professional motivation generally demonstrated a significant difference according to years of experience in profession and the type of schools they graduated from. However, comparisons performed according to teachers¡¯ scores and variables such as gender, school level, and the director¡¯s gender demonstrated partially significant differences; there were significant differences in favour of the scores of teachers who worked with female managers. Correlation analysis results indicated significant relationships between the perceived director management style and teacher motivation %K Motivasyon %K mesleki motivasyon %K m¨¹d¨¹r y£¿netim tarz£¿ %K £¿£¿retmen %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ijoses/issue/38880/467606
