Reaching to God and being honored God¡¯s protection is one of the basic aims of human being from the earliest times. People have continued their efforts in this direction through places and persons that they deem as ¡°blessed¡±, sometimes they are directly or as unmediated. The concept of ¡°blessed¡±, which shapes the faith world of individuals, covers various practices related to the mausoleums, entombed saints and visit places. As in all religions/faith systems, there is also the concept of visiting blessed places in Turkish culture and Islam. The beliefs and practices related to mausoleums, entombed saints and visit places bring legendary narratives about the lives of the saints, mahatmas, holy person and and the dede (religious figure). In almost every province, there are mausoleums and visit places. Due to Zonguldak is the first city of Republic, it has rooted country life history and many mausoleums and entombed saints still exist in today. Although some of these places are still known, it is not possible to talk about the existence of some of them now. Those who live in the region and know the history of the region have information about these mausoleums that we cannot see as concrete and many of them show the location of these mausoleums. In the Zonguldak region, one hundred forty-two mausoleums, entombed saints and visit places were determined. In this study, all of these places were discussed on the basis of their functions.
