%0 Journal Article %T Beliefs and Rituals Around Death in Tahtaci Turkmens in Bayramic Region %A Cem MER£¿£¿ %J - %D 2018 %X Death, which plays a significant role in the folk culture and takes place near the top of the transition period practices; survives until today by bringing along many beliefs and rituals. Although these rituals and beliefs are seen in different forms in different cultures, many of them are in a ceremonial structure. At the heart of this difference, faith variety comes into prominence. The beliefs that people possess have an impact on the beliefs and rituals that occur around death along with the society¡¯s perspective on death. There are many folkloric elements are identified about death between Tahtac£¿ Turkmen¡¯s in Bayramic region.To these; the death of some of the animals or events recalling the death of the person at the beginning of the burial of the sazender before the death breath reading, the deceased in the health of the religious ceremony and the dressed in the clothes and buried in the burial of the deceased in order to be comfortable in the grave of the deceased person in the form of tombs, H£¿drellez time to each family's cemetery and visiting relatives who died and sacrificing their ancestors at the graves. Beliefs and rituals are performed in pre-death, while-death and post-mortem period between Tahtac£¿ Turkmen¡¯s maintains their traditional identity until today.
