GATED SPECT myocardial perfusion scintigraphy is a non-invasive, simple and easy technique used in diagnosis and predicting prognosis of CAD. The aim of this study was to compare the level of Homocysteine (HCY) with stress defect scores that we obtained from GATED Myocardial Perfusion SPECT study. Methods: Between November 2012-March 2013, 166 patients with suspected coronary artery disease referred to our department for the myocardial perfusion scintigraphy included in this study. The study consisted of 96 women and 70 men (mean age 56¡À11,6). HCY levels were measured in blood samples by ELISA. The presence of ischemia was evaluated visually. The numerical parameters of the left ventricle was obtained automatically by the software quantitative gated SPECT (QGS). Results: According to the scintigraphic results, 60(%57,1) of the patients were normal and 45(%42,9) of the patients had ischemia. Mean HCY values of patients were found to be 16,36¡À9,7 ¦Ìmol/L in normal group and 16,6¡À8,5 ¦Ìmol/L in the ischemic group (p=0,895). Conclusion: We found no significant correlation between HCY levels and cardiovascular risk parameters obtained from GATED myocardial perfusion SPECT %K Koroner Arter Hastal£¿£¿£¿ %K Homosistein %K Myokard Perf¨¹zyon Sintigrafisi %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ktd/issue/44366/432849
