%0 Journal Article %T THE MAIN REASONS OF ABU HAN£¿FAH¡¯S RATIONALIST METHOD AND THE SCIENTIFIC ENVIRONMENT THAT FORMED HIS THOUGHTS %J - %D 2018 %X The person who first comes to mind when the topic is the concept of rationality in the history of Islamic law, that per- son is, undoubtedly, Abu Hanifa. The rationality of Abu Hanifa does not mean that the ration is the source of knowledge but rather the role of reason- ing in the interpretation of nusus is greater than in other sects. As a result of his personality traits, intellectual accumulation, being an active member of the social life, loyalty of his scientific tradition to scholars, his search for integrity and coherence in sectarian rules and some other environmental fac- tors, Abu Hanifa followed a rational attitude (using and applying ra¡¯y) in the interpretation of nusus, and he came into prom- inence with this ratio- nality-centered feature.
