The interaction between the pin profiles and overlapped welding seams affecting the mechanical properties was investigated. The welded joints were characterized by tensile and bending tests. The highest tensile strength of 203 MPa and the lowest elongation at rupture with a value of 2.12% were obtained in the absence of offset using a tool with conical pin geometry. Root bending strength and surface bending strength values were found to be 288 MPa and 284 MPa, respectively. The highest root bending strength was measured to be 293 MPa; it was obtained from the welded joint manufactured via offsetting the tool with the pentagonal pin profile on the AS direction. This welded joint was found to contain defects. All welded joints joined by tools with pentagonal pin profiles have been found to exhibit crack-type imperfections affecting the tensile test results %K Pim £¿ak£¿£¿mas£¿ %K Pim profili %K Mekanik £¿zellikler %K S¨¹rt¨¹nme kar£¿£¿t£¿rma kayna£¿£¿ %U http://dergipark.org.tr/ngumuh/issue/42884/517159
