%0 Journal Article %T Childhood and Child Rights Within The Historical Process %A Rabia Dirican %J - %D 2018 %X Nowadays, children¡¯s rights are a very important issue and under the protection of laws and also are an issue of education. Children's rights, which have been neglected throughout the ages, and there is almost no legal regulation, have begun to be a matter of concern in the 20th century. In the last century, it was accepted that children's rights should be regulated and protected by law because of the recognition that childhood is a separate process from adulthood and that children should have some special rights due to their developmental needs. In order to understand the development of children's rights in the historical process, it is useful to first look at the development of the concept of childhood and the understanding that what is mean of child and childhood by societies.
