%0 Journal Article %T The Study on Parent Attitudes towards Imam-Hatip Secondary School Students Participation of Physical Education and Sports Class in Terms of Different Variables %J - %D 2018 %X The aim of this study is to examine the parent attitudes towards the participation of Imam-Hatip Secondary School students in central districts of Erzurum in physical education and sports class in terms of different variables. 394 students' parents from 6 different Imam-Hatip secondary schools in the central districts of Erzurum in 2015-2016 academic year participated in this research. Data of the study were collected through the personal information form developed by the researcher and consultant and the scale of parent attitude towards physical education and sports class developed by £¿nc¨¹ (2007). Percentage and frequency analysis were done to determine the demographic characteristics by using SPSS 22.00 software package in the analysis of data. Independent Sample T-Test and One-way ANOVA tests, with 0.05 level of significance, were used to determine the relationship between independent variables and parental attitudes towards physical education and sports class. As claimed by the findings, it was determined that there is a significant differentiation between the variables of the participants' genders, their state of doing sports, their state of following the publications on sports, watching sport competitions, their children's gender, grade level, how they evaluate school success, playing in the school team status, taking part in a sports club and the gender of the physical education teacher and parental attitudes towards physical education and sports class. It was determined that there isn't any significant differentiation between the variables of the participants' education level, monthly income level, type of sports and sports doing hour per week and parental attitudes towards physical education and sports class.
