%0 Journal Article %T What¡¯s New in Chronic Hepatitis %A Prof. Dr. Erhun KASIRGA %J - %D 2018 %X Abstract Today, children with chronic hepatitis B and C are treated with a few medications which have low sustained viral response rates and high virologic resistance rates. Chronic hepatitis B and C virus infections usually have a mild clinical coursein childhood. However, there is a high risk of developing serious complications suchas cirrhosis and liver cancer in these patients. Despite the development of new an-tiviral therapies, the treatment of chronic hepatitis still continues to be a major clinical problem.
