%0 Journal Article %T The Relation between the Information Literacy Skills of Pre-Service Teachers and Their Evaluation of the Trustworthiness of Information Sources %A Canan Dilek Eren %J - %D 2019 %X The aim of this study is to examine whether there is a relation between the information literacy skills of pre-service science teachers and their evaluation of the trustworthiness of texts obtained from different online information sources about nuclear energy, which is a socioscientific subject. The study is in relational screening model. The study was carried out by 186 pre-service teachers getting education at science teaching program at Kocaeli University. In the study, data were collected through ¡°Information literacy scale¡± and ¡°Trustworthiness questionnaire¡±. Participants first looked at reading texts compiled from original and different sources of information about nuclear energy, then filled the Information Literacy Scale and the Trustworthiness Questionnaire for each text.
