%0 Journal Article %T Retrospect£¿ve Rev£¿ew of The Prostitutes in Neisseria Gonorrhoeae Infections %A M¨¹zeyyen AKSU %J - %D 2019 %X Aim: In this study, it was aimed to evaluate infections of Neisseria gonorrhoeae constitutes one of the most important risk factor in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, retrospectively in the prostitutes. Method: Between 2008-2013 in Mersin Dermatological and Venereal Diseases Dispensary total 40280 examinations were made as registered employees 39235, unregistered employees 1045. Clinical signs as well as polymorphonuclear leukocytes in the Gram stain of the endocervical swab sample, intracellular and extracellular Gram negative diplococci presence was evaluated as Neisseria gonorrhoeae infection. Examination results of the examination recorded in the registry.These records were obtained from the epidemiological data of the cases. Results: The distribution of life expectancies registered in this study declined from %1.6 in 2008 to %0.3 (p 0.001) in 2013 and the decrease in the number of cases compared to the number of cases in unregistered prostitutes (p 0.001) was found significant. There was a decrease in the number of unregistered. Distribution among these groups over the years (p 0.007) and case numbers (p 0.001) were found to be significant. When evaluating the incidence of cases by age in registered prostitutes, especially in women aged 41-50 were found to be higher incidence of cases. Conclusions: As a result of evaluation of Mersin Dermatological and Venereal Diseases Dispensary data, it has been determined that infection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae in prostitutes is significantly decreased in years. But high rates of infection pointed out for unregistered prostitutes employees.
