%0 Journal Article %T Assesment of Bread Wheat Breeding Materials in Terms of Quality Traits Within The Scope of Breeding Program %A Seydi AYDO£¿AN %J - %D 2019 %X This research was carried out to determine the quality performances of bread wheat genotypes in the pre-yield, yield and advanced yield trials in different locations during the 2010-2015 years in irrigated conditions. During the study, some quality traits of bread wheat breeding materials (thousand kernel weight, protein content, Zeleny sedimentation, rheological properties (mixograph, farinograph and bread volume) were examined. The quality analyzes of 828 bread wheat genotypes (pre-yield 408, yield 210 and advanced yield 210) in irrigated conditions were done and contribution to selection was provided by evaluation of the obtained data and 138 genotypes (pre-yield 69, yield 36 and advanced yield 33) were transferred to advanced stage. In the selected lines of pre-yield, yield and advanced yield trials, mean values were determined as 37.43 g for thousand kernel weight, 12.78% for protein content, 41.91 ml for Zeleny sedimentation value, 2.63 min for mixograph development time, 123.5 Nm for mixograph peak area, 62.46% for farinograph water absorption and 465.50 cm3 for bread volume. Wheat breeding programs focus on improving the yield and quality of bread wheat.
