The learning process in the new program involves exploring, questioning, constructing an argument and designing a product. Given the goals set out in the updated science curriculum, teachers must be work so hard. The inquiry skills of teachers need to be improved for their guidance in their discussions. In this study, inquiry-based learning approach was applied through "T-diagram" with the aim of improving the inquiry skills of teacher candidates. In this context, experimental studies have been conducted and evaluated in accordance with the T-diagrams which developed by the candidates. The research was carried out with the 2nd grade teacher candidates of the Istanbul Ayd£¿n University Education Faculty in the spring semester of 2017-2018. The study was carried out in the Science and Technology Laboratory Application II course. Detailed information about the T diagram, which is an alternative tool in the inquiry-based learning process is given to the study group consisting of 30 people. In this context, it is required that prospective teachers should make scientific inquiry on a subject they want, to develop experimental studies and to apply them in the laboratory environment. The findings were obtained by evaluating the T-diagrams developed by the teacher candidates and according to the examination criteria determined by the researchers. Furthermore, the opinions of the prospective teachers about the implementation process revealed with "T-diagram evaluation scale". The first and the most important steps, "cause question" and "research question", were performed with low performance in the diagrams which are developed and put into experimental work. The inadequacy of the research questions that the prospective teachers have found reflected in the experimental pattern and procedure, so empirical studies have emerged that are far from scientific inquiry. Despite the low performance that teacher candidates have shown, this reflects positively on the attitudes of these learning processes that we can define differently. Teacher candidates have shown a positive attitude towards the T-diagram, and they think that the T-diagram contributes positively to the scientific process skills and the learning environment %K T-diyagram£¿ %K Bilimsel sorgulama %U http://dergipark.org.tr/gebd/issue/38655/409869
