%0 Journal Article %T Choice of Anesthesia Method in Cesarean Delivery: Communication Between Anesthesiologist and Obstetrician %A Ali Kepek£¿i %J - %D 2019 %X Introduc£¿tion: Both regional anesthesia (RA) and general anesthesia (GA) can be used in cesarean delivery (CD). In this study, anesthesia methods of CD patients were examined and the anesthesia preferences of the physicians participating in the operation were investigated. Method: All CD files between March and August 2018 were retrospectively reviewed. Since RA was contraindicated, patients treated with GA and with missing data in their files were disabled. 5 Obstetrician working, respectively, Doctor A, B, C, D, E; 3 anesthetists were named Doctor X, Y, Z respectively. The demographic data of the patients and the names of Obstetrician and Anesthesiologist who performed the operation were recorded. The effects of anesthesiologist and obstetricians on the anesthesia alone and together were investigated. Results: A total of 346 CD files were evaluated. 230 patients (66.50%) had RA and 116 (33.50%) patients had GA. No significant difference was found between the age of the mothers (p> 0.05) and gestational weeks (p> 0.05). When the obstetricians were compared to the CDs in which they were active applicants, the lowest RA ratio was Doctor D with 40.00% and the highest with 87.10% was Doctor C. When anesthesiologists are compared among themselves; The rate of RA was the lowest for Doctor Z 0% and the highest for Doctor X with 76.20%. When we evaluated the active practitioner anesthesiologists and obstetricians for each CD; In the CD operations of Obstetrician Doctor C and Anesthetist Doctor X, RA was found to be 91.70% and a statistically significant difference was found (p <0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: The coordinated studies of anesthesiologists and obstetricians who are active practitioners in the operation of CDs are effective in determining the most suitable anesthesia methods %K Anestezi y£¿ntemleri %K anestezi uzman£¿ %K genel anestezi %K do£¿um uzman£¿ %K b£¿lgesel anestezi %K sezaryen do£¿um %U http://dergipark.org.tr/gopctd/issue/44052/512719
