In this respect, any positive or negative expectation in the sector will affect the sub-sectors and companies related to it. In this study, the existence of cointegration relationship between service confidence index (SCI) and BIST Services sub-indices is investigated for the period of January 2011 to December 2017. Monthly price data related to BIST Electricity, BIST Transportation, BIST Tourism, BIST Trade and BIST Communication indices are used in the study. Bound test results indicated that there is cointegration relationship between SCI and BIST Tourism index. Furthermore, it is determined that there is a short-run relationship between the SCI and the BIST Tourism index and it is found that an increase in the SCI affects BIST tourism index positively.
