THE EFFECTS OF THE HAPPINESS AND LIFE SATISFACTION ON INTENTION TO LEAVE %A Seda AKIN G¨¹RDAL %A Sel£¿uk T¨¹RK %J - %D 2019 %X This study aims to investigate the relationships between happiness, life satisfaction and intention to leave, and to make valuable contributions to both happiness studies literature and Management & Organization literature via the results of this study. Moreover, it has been aimed to point out the importance of the workers¡¯ happiness and life satisfaction levels in the view of the business. In the end of the analyses of data, gathered from the workers of a business, running in manufacturing sector, in K£¿rklareli Organized Industrial Zone, it was found that happiness levels of participants who joined sportive and social activities often were significantly higher than those who never or rarely joined sportive and social activities, and female workers had significantly higher intention to leave than male workers while they had lower life satisfaction. It was also seen that there was a medium level significant negative correlation between happiness and intention to leave, and between life satisfaction and intention to leave. It was found out that happiness level decreased intention to leave in keeping with the results in previous studies showed the relationship between happiness and success, and between happiness and performance.
