%T The Effect of Patience Attitude on Trait Anger Expression Styles and Anger Control

%X The main purpose of this research is the effect of patience on anger control and it is a quantitative work. Patience and anger are human emotions. Anger is a negative emotion, patience is a recommended emotion. In the study, patience scale and trait anger and anger expression scale were applied to the senior students of the Sakarya University. A total of 179 students, 108 female and 71 male, participated in the research. 71 of the participants are in the Faculty of Theology and 108 are in the Faculty of Literature. Correlations and regression results of the data were analyzed. According to the results of the analysis, there was a statistically significant decrease in the anger, anger, internal anger and external anger dimensions in the participants with high patience attitude and at the same time a significant increase in the anger control was observed. Significant effects of long-term patience and interpersonal patience subscales were observed in anger control, but no significant effect of short-term patience was observed. There was no effect or correlation of gender and educational differences on outcomes. According to these results, the anger control skills can also develop when individuals develop their patience attitude
