%0 Journal Article %T The Effects of Land Consolidation Projects on Fuel Costs and Agricultural Mechanization in Rural Areas %A M¨¹ge K£¿RM£¿K£¿L %J - %D 2018 %X With the land consolidation, the number of the parcels of the enterprises is decreasing, the parcel sizes are growing in line with certain parameters, the parcel shapes are improving and allowing for economic production. This study was carried out in the Suba£¿£¿ village of Bursa Yeni£¿ehir district which was completed in 2016. In this study, the length of the road before/after the land consolidation and accordingly the fuel consumption were compared. According to the random sampling method, 5 enterprises were selected from the study area and the changes in road lengths and routes were determined. In addition, June 2018 fuel consumption and equipment acquisition between January 2004 and 2017 were examined. The price of diesel fuel is taken as 5.52TL/lt for Yeni£¿ehir district. In 2004 and 2017, the number of tractors was 3845 and 4671, the number of combine harvesters was 25 and 12 and the number of agricultural machines was 29432 and 31840. In the years following land consolidation, the number of machine tool and tractors increased, while the number of harvesters decreased.
