%T Current Provincial Administration and District Administration in Turkey: A Historical and Structural Analysis

%X This study first describes a brief historical background of provincial and district administrations in Turkey and then performs structural analysis. In this context, the study examines the organs of provincial administration, the governor, provincial administrative board and provincial directorates, and then it examines the organs of the district administration, the district governor, district administrative board and district directorates. In the study, the duties and responsibilities of the governor are emphasized, and the structure and functions of the other organs are also given in detail. This study aims to describe the structure and functioning of provincial and district administration in Turkey as of today, and to compare the provincial and district administrations by revealing the duties of the organs. The provinces which are the main backbone of the provincial administration and the civilian government in Turkey are the main axis of this study.
