%0 Journal Article %T IMPACTS OF DRUGS, COSMETICS, PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS ON THE ENVIRONMENT AND EU COUNTRIES AND TURKEY'S PERSPECTIVE %A Filiz £¿ET£¿NKAYA KARAFAKI %J - %D 2018 %X Along with the progress of humanity and developing technology types, number and spread of drug rapidly increased around the world and cosmetics and personal care products for human health in case of rational use and benefits of the care are unquestionable. However, in many countries of the world and in Turkey, these products and one of the neglected problems during the manufacture of these products, and excretion from the living body results and environmental contamination occurred after being mixed with household waste and sewage unused. After products that contain any kind of chemicals entering into the human body metabolized, they are excreted by urine, feces, sweat and respiratory tract. In addition, these products are involved in air, water and soil after death. Stages of production of these products that are produced from very resistant material to ensure a long life of storage, packaging and being involved in the environment after usage, they create very negative effects on the environment. The purpose of this study is to indicate that pharmaceutical, cosmetic and personal care products' parts containing waste nature are included in a specific hazardous waste, to address the disposal of conventional disposal methods, to assess the hard effect on the environment and to examine EU and Turkey's stance on this issue.
