%X Developments after the announcement of the new republic created an artistic and lawful ground for demands for a change of the society during late ottoman era. During this period, architect artists rose whose approaches are modern, classical, national and eclectic. One of those architect artists is Cevat ¨¹lger. Cevat ¨¹lger came forward as a persona who had wide range of interests such as architecture, paint, hat, design and cartoons. ¨¹lger had constructed architectural structures by using both unique and traditional approaches; however, generally his works had traditional characteristics. Cevat ¨¹lger tried to combine both traditional and modern architectural approaches in his works. Modern art¡¯s effects are more significant in his works other than architect. ¨¹lger has passed away at a young age but he tried to perform a unique and consistent understanding of art during his period and was very much successful by doing it
