%X The paper focuses on the way ex-mass media employees experienced a dramatic passage from safe employment to a precarious condition. It is based on fourteen months ethnographic research (August 2012 to October 2013) in the closing premises of the ALTER TV Channel. In addition, fifteen semi¨Cstructured interviews were conducted with employees. In the concluding remarks a new type of working subject is questioned through a) the ¡®reinvention¡¯ of forgotten economic processes, b) the motivation of any social network to cope with precariousness and c) the critique of the so called ¡®old fashioned¡¯ syndicalism
