How is scientific evidence generated? Who is actually doing science and who is interested in it? The science about science is a large field, and the new book by Jeremy Baumberg is trying to answer these and many more related questions. When I was asked to review this book I was initially skeptical, as I rarely read books on this topic, and have never reviewed a book before. However, the title and short description won me over because they so naturally matched my own thoughts about how science is done nowadays, especially with respect to how researchers live in a universe that is largely isolated from the public, and that non-scientists have very little knowledge about our daily lives %U https://www.cell.com/trends/ecology-evolution/fulltext/S0169-5347(19)30061-8
