These enterprises can bridge the wide gap between the economics of developing and developed countries. As such %K this study aimed at investigating the obstacles that face the process of setting up virtual enterprises in the Republic of Yemen. The research focused on the definition of virtual enterprise and other related terms such as E-Commerce and E-Business. The research adopted the qualitative method through the intensive one to one interviews with the targeted study community which is the enterprise of Matjar Warazan (www.warazan.com). The researcher has gathered related data through interviewing staff and customers of the enterprise and browsing the website of the enterprise on the internet to form a clear picture and examine the current situation of the enterprise. The data were analyzed %K and the study concluded that the most important obstacles facing the process of establishing the Yemeni virtual enterprises are governmental work environment which is related to the complex bureaucratic procedures %K the administrative and financial corruption %K lack of suitable legislations %K lack of infrastructure related to the low quality of internet service %K monopolizing internet service by the government %K the bad electricity service %K the limited credit service %K and cultural obstacles related to the educational and training programs %K negative media role and negative civil society organizations' role. %U http://ust.edu/ojs/index.php/JSS/article/view/1113
