This study aimed at determining the prevalence of metabolic syndrome among chronic kidney disease patients. %K One hundred and sixty patients were enrolled. Glomerular filtration rates were estimated using the Cockcroft Gault formula. Metabolic syndrome was defined by the presence of ¡Ý 3 of the following: Central obesity (waist circumference of >102 cm in males or >88 cm in females) %K Hypertriglyceridemia >150 mg/dL %K low HDL cholesterol (<40 mg/Dl in males and <50 mg/dL in females) %K Hypertension (>130/85mmHg) %K Fasting plasma glucose >100 mg/dL. %U https://www.ajol.info/index.php/rejhs/article/view/177590
