Prolactinoma is the most common subtype of pituitary adenomas in older children and adolescents. Patients usually present with oligomenorrhea/amenorrhea. Laboratory investigations and radiological imaging are important in confirming the diagnosis of pituitary adenomas. Administration of cabergoline is recommended as first-line therapy, although refractory cases require surgical treatment.
