Various physico-chemical parameters such as pH, temperature, incubation period, and effect of different carbon and nitrogen sources were studied in order to determine the optimum conditions for ¦Á-galactosidase production by both the strains. The incubation time of 72 h and 50¡ãC with the presence of raffinose and peptone favoured ¦Á-galactosidase production in both the strains. pH 8 and 7 were found to be optimum for SPE10 and SPE15 respectively. Purified enzymes showed molecular weights of 81 and 78 kDa revealed by SDS-PAGE %K Mukesh Kumar DJ %K Suresh K %K Saranya GM %K Andal Priyadharshini D %K Damodaran R and Kalaichelvan PT %K Alpha galactosidase %K Bacillus %K raffinose %K peptone %K SDS-PAGE %U https://www.imedpub.com/abstract/production-optimization-and-characterization-of-galactosidase-by-ibacillusi-sp-spe10-and-ibacillusi-sp-spe15-isolated-from-soy-effluent-16397.html
