%0 Journal Article %T Indications for NOAC discontinuation according to bleeding risks - case report %A Ivi£¿evi£¿ %A Nada %A Tomi£¿i£¿ %A Marion %J - %D 2019 %X Sa£¿etak Vitamin K antagonists (eg warfarin) and new oral anticoagulants (NOAC) are used to prevent stroke and other embolic accidents in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and in the management and prevention of venous thromboembolism. The choice and dosage of NOACs depends on renal function. Threfore it is necessary to determine creatinine clearance before their introduction. Special caution must be paid to patients with comorbidity and to drug interactions.
