%X Sa£¿etak The article describes the process of desalination of archaeological iron objects by an alkaline-sulphite treatment. This treatment removes the soluble chlorides that have accumulated in the iron objects during burial. The process of determining the concentration of chlorides by potentiometric titration is also described
