%X Sa£¿etak This urban architectural project for a newly-built part of Split (1968-1979) is usually referred to as SPLIT 3. This project was the work of Slovenian architects (Vladimir Mu£¿i£¿, Marjan Be£¿an, Nives Starc), while the architectural design of the buildings and landscaping were done by architects from Split (Dinko Kova£¿i£¿, Mihajlo Zori£¿). This article by Dinko Kova£¿i£¿ documents the time and concept of the urban and architectural design of the city, with an overview of the traditional qualities of local architecture interpreted through a modern architectural vocabulary
