%X Sa£żetak This paper explains energy efficiency of buildings. Energy certification of buildings, respectively classification and evaluation of buildings according to energy consumption, has recently become a legal obligation for all buildings in the real estate market in the Republic of Croatia. This can also play a key role in enhancing the quality of construction, integral consideration of the energy concept of new buildings and initiate systematic energy renewal and modernization of existing buildings.
